PCB Officials to travel today to Kakul and Convince Babar for Captaincy.

The Selectors will travel today to Kakul to convince Babar to take the captaincy of the Pakistan cricket team. This decision was made during the meeting last night
between chairman Mohsin Naqvi and Selectors.

However, Babar wants to take Captaincy in all three formats. He has informed the Cricket Board about his wish to captain all three formats.

A decision will be made possibly today and will announced by the board during a press conference on Sunday.

Pakistan Cricket team is now training in Kakul Military Academy for T20 World Cup 2024 which is scheduled to be played in West Indies and America.

After PSL, the Pakistan Cricket Board announced a 29-member squad for training at Kakul Academy.

Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Saim Ayub, Fakhar Zaman, Sahibzada Farhan, Haseebullah, Saud Shakeel, Usman Khan, Mohammad Haris, Salman Ali Agha, Azam Khan, Iftikhar Ahmed, Irfan Khan Niazi, Shadab Khan, Imad Wasim, Usama Mir, Mohammad Nawaz, Mehran Mumtaz, Abrar Ahmed, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Hasan Ali, Mohammad Ali, Zaman Khan, Mohammad Wasim Jnr, Aamir Jamal, Haris Rauf, and Mohammad Amir.

So, Pakistan Cricket Board officials will meet Babar Azam in Kakul to convince him for Captaincy.

Babar Azam has also captained Pakistan in recent two T20 World Cups in which Pakistan managed to reach in semi-final in 2021 and the final in 2022 but lost the final against England at MCG Australia.
