Pakistan Cricket team is in Kakul Military Academy of Pakistan Army for their training.
During the second day of training at the Kakul Academy in Abbottabad, Pakistani cricketers participated in a fitness evaluation. This assessment likely involved various physical tests to gauge the players’ overall fitness levels and identify areas for improvement. They have the task of running two kilometres.
In this run, Pakistan’s emerging player Irfan Khan Niazi showcased a remarkable performance and finished the two-kilometre run in just 6 minutes and 47 seconds.
While Azam Khan, a Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman faced difficulty in running and didn’t complete the whole two kilometres. However, he managed to run one and a half kilometres before stopping. He completes this in more than 20 minutes.
Other Pakistani cricketers showcased notable performances. Mohammad Rizwan completed the run in 8 minutes and 26 seconds, followed closely by Mohammad Haris, Naseem Shah, Haseebullah, and Mohammad Wasim Junior at 8 minutes and 27 seconds.
Other participants, including Mehran Mumtaz and Shaheen Shah Afridi, also demonstrated strong performances.
However, Imad Wasim couldn’t participate due to concerns about a potential knee injury, while Fakhar Zaman and Haris Rauf refrained from the test due to ongoing recovery from injuries sustained in the recent Pakistan Super League.
Babar Azam, who went to Saudi Arabia for Umrah, is anticipated to join the camp at Kakul Academy upon his return on Thursday.
Pakistan Cricket Board have announced a 29-member squad for this training in Kakul Academy.
Two former Pakistan cricketers, Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim, who recently reversed their decisions to retire, have been selected in the 29-man squad for the training camp at Kakul with the Pakistan Army. This camp, scheduled from March 26 to April 8, aims to prepare the team for the upcoming T20 World Cup.
Additionally, Usman Khan, who is bound for the UAE, has been included in the squad for this intensive training period. The inclusion of these experienced players reflects the team management’s focus on assembling a competitive squad for the tournament.
