A federal cabinet meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in which the Cabinet members including the Prime Minister have decided not to take salaries and other benefits as well.

Pakistan is going through rough stages due to which they have decided not to take their salaries as well as other benefits as it will little bit to the country’s economy.

On February 8 in Pakistan, general elections was held for making government of Pakistan. So PMLN party won major seats and as a result Shehbaz Sharif from PMLN becomes Pakistan Prime Minister for the second time in a row.

Also in this meeting, finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb gave a detailed briefing to the Cabinet on the Staff Level Agreement with the IMF.

He said that the agreement with the IMF will improve the economy, which is expected to further increase investor confidence.

Pakistan is hopeful for agreement with IMF as the new government needs capital for improving economy of the country.
